Ovarian cancer is the growth of cells that form in the ovaries. The cells multiply rapidly and attack and destroy healthy body tissue. These cancer cells can grow out of control quickly and spread over weeks or months. Women aged 55-64 have the highest risk of developing ovarian cancer.
