Endometrial cancer occurs in the uterus, sometimes called uterine cancer. It begins when cells in the endometrium (the inner lining of the uterus) grow out of control. Treatment of endometrial cancer often requires only surgery, but may sometimes require radiation, chemotherapy, and hormonal therapy.
